Ladle
Ladles are designed and produced with the aim of transporting and pouring molten metals. For transporting large volumes of liquid, such as in steel mill applications, ladles are carried via overhead cranes or forklifts. For pouring the molten metal, high volume ladles are tilted using a second overhead crane, mechanical gears are also used for tilting ladles with moderate capacities. Depending on pouring design ladles are divided into two general types: lip pour ladles and bottom pour ladles.
PAXAA manufactures foundry ladles suitable for steel, cast iron, and other molten metals. Ladles’ capacities range from a few hundred kilograms up to a few tons. PAXAA’s ladles are inspected and tested with rigorous national and international standards during and after manufacturing.
